and tips for a better experience

Pay attention to the Main House Rules:

It is FORBIDDEN to leave the air conditioning or heating on when no one is in the accommodation.
Do not move major furniture. Moving a chair isn’t a problem, moving a bed or a table, yes it is.
It is FORBIDDEN to TOUCH the Home Theater system, its cables, and all its parts, also connecting devices, and to use it for purposes other than those allowed here.
It is forbidden smoking indoor.
Kids under the age of 14 cannot be left alone in the accommodation.
Theft, even minor, will not be tolerated.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: In Italy every house has a limit for simultaneous energy consume by law. Pay attention not to use too many appliances simultaneously or you could cause the temporary interruption of power! (more info below)

––– Cook like a pro

Lights

Ceiling lights: You can turn on the ceiling lights using the switch to your left when you enter, next to the coffee machine. Press it three times to turn on all the lights.
Stovetop lights: These are controlled by the switch on the wall to the left of the stove.
Counter lights: Turn these on using the switch located above on the large kitchen shelf, next to the wine bottles.
Outdoor light: The garden wall light can be turned on using the first switch next to the window, under the TV.

Dishwasher

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please open the dishwasher door very carefully—it’s heavy and might break if it slips from your hands.

After loading the dishwasher, insert a detergent pod into the compartment on the inside of the door and close it.

On top of the door, you’ll find the control panel:

Press the ON button to power it on.
Use the arrow buttons to choose your desired program. We recommend the ECO program—it saves water and electricity (lasts about 4 hours).
Press START to confirm, then close the door. The dishwasher will start running.
When the cycle is done, the dishwasher will beep.

Oven

Super easy to use:

Turn the left knob to the first setting (fan-assisted cooking), and the oven will turn on.
Use the right knob to set the temperature.
When you’re done, return the left knob to the OFF position.

Kettle

(Instructions not provided—assumed to be straightforward)

Coffee Machine

Make sure there’s enough water in the water tank.

Press the bottom-left button to turn it on. The blue light will start flashing. When it stops flashing, the machine is ready to use.
Choose your filter: the big one is for 2 espressos, the small one is for 1.
Insert the filter into the portafilter handle. Use the scoop to fill it with ground coffee (you’ll find it in the jar nearby).
Fill it to the top, then press it down with the tamper.
Insert the portafilter into the machine by turning it from left to right until it’s centered and locked in place.
Press the middle button (with the cup icon) to start the coffee. Press it again to stop when you’re done. Enjoy your coffee!

☕ Don’t forget:

Wait for the light to stop flashing before making another coffee.
Clean the portafilter and filter after use.
Empty the water drip tray every 4–6 coffees. Just lift the aluminum base of the machine to access it.

Gas stoves.

Turn and press the burner knobs to turn on them.

In case one of them does not turn on easily, you’ll find a lighter on the shelf.

––– WiFi is a human right

To access the internet, simply go to your device, search for available WiFi networks, and choose “Vodafone VEE” WiFi.

Enter the following password:

And you’re all set.

––– It’s Cinema time!

1 – Turn on the projector by pressing the red button on the LG remote control.

2 – Turn on the audio station by pressing the green button on the Sony remote control.

3 – Turn on the Apple TV by pressing the menu button on its small black remote.

4 – After a few seconds, the navigation menu will appear. You can navigate using the touchpad on the top of the small Apple remote (Press the touchpad to confirm and the “menu” button to go back).

5 – Enjoy Amazon Prime Video, Netflix or YouTube! (Use the “guest” accounts)

Terrestrial digital TV is not available, however, you will find Rai and Mediaset channels in their respective streaming apps.

Other:

Please DO NOT TOUCH the equipment connection cables under any circumstances, do not try to connect other devices, and do not change the settings. If you need anything or have doubts, ask me (the host).

Please do not try to purchase or rent shows. Prime Video and Netflix already have a wide library of free shows (and, anyway, you need my password to do that).

The movie language is probably set to Italian. You can change it as you prefer using the Netflix or Prime Video menu (please don’t change the Apple TV settings).

Sound volume:

The sound volume can only be adjusted with the Sony remote control.

Please do not set the sound volume above 25.

End of the show:

Once the show is over, turn off the projector and the audio station using the same buttons you used to turn them on.

The Apple TV will automatically switch to standby mode after a few minutes once you have returned to its main menu.

––– It’s so hot (or cold)!

To use the air conditioner, use the white remote control.
Press the center button on the remote to turn it on and off.
Use the up or down arrow buttons to adjust the temperature.

To set the air conditioner to “cool mode,” make sure there is a snowflake icon on the remote display.

For warm air (if it’s winter), the display should show a sun icon.

Change the air conditioner mode by pressing the “MODE” button.

Push the “SLEEP” button while it is turned on if you want to enter in the “Sleep mode” (no lights and no noise). Just remember to turn it off when you get your desired temperature.

IMPORTANT – Please remember that it is strictly prohibited by House Rules to leave the air conditioner on when no one is in the accommodation.

–––– Who wants to be a sommelier?

If you want some bottles of wine, you can take them from the small tavern, but they cost €5._⁰⁰ each (cash only). You can leave the money on the table at the check-out, thanks.

Please, do not touch the beers instead. They are only for decorative purposes, they have all expired! 😀

––– Dirty laundry gets done at Airbnb!

The laundry area is located behind the curtain you’ll see right after you open the door leading from the kitchen to the bathroom.

On the top shelf to your right, you’ll find laundry detergent and fabric softener.

IMPORTANT!
Always keep the curtains open and the bathroom window slightly open when the dryer is running.

Washing Machine

Simple Wash

Turn on the washing machine by pressing the on/off button.
Use the large dial to select a wash cycle: choose number 7 for a standard or mixed load.
Use the smaller dial with temperature settings to select the wash temperature — 40°C (104°F) is recommended.
Use the last dial on the right to set the spin speed — at least 700 rpm is recommended for faster drying.
Press the START button to begin the wash — the cycle lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The washing machine will beep when it’s finished, and the END light will come on.

Dryer

IMPORTANT:

Always keep the curtains open and the bathroom window slightly open when the dryer is running.
Always clean the lint filter and empty the water tank before using the dryer again.

Simple Drying

Load your clothes and close the door.
Turn the dial to “MIX & DRY” — the dryer will turn on automatically.
Tap the “START” button to begin drying — the cycle lasts about 2 hours.

Important
Always remember to clean the lint filter and empty the water tank before using the dryer again.

How to Clean the Lint Filter

Open the dryer door and pull out the lint filter with your fingers — it’s located right at the bottom of the dryer door opening.
Open the filter (it folds open like a wallet) and remove all the collected lint.
Close the filter and put it back in its place inside the dryer.

How to Empty the Water Tank

The water tank is located behind the plastic panel just below the dryer door.
The panel is clipped in place — simply grab it by the sides and pull it out.
Once the panel is removed, you’ll see the water tank on the bottom left — pull it out.
Open the blue cap and empty the water into the sink or toilet.
Close the cap, slide the tank back into place (push until you feel it click), and put the plastic panel back the same way you removed it.

Iron

On the top right shelf of the laundry area, you’ll find an iron in case you need to iron anything.
Instructions for use are inside the box.

—— Let’s play a fun game!

Classics:

You can have some lively matches with the foosball table you see in the room, and also, you’ll find several card games, both traditional and non-traditional, inside the bottom left drawer of the giant screen.

Videogames – Nintendo Switch

Press the “Home” button on the Sony remote (Sound Station).
The navigation menu will appear.
- Use the “Up” and “Down” buttons on the center of the Sony remote to navigate.
- Highlight “HDMI 2”, then press the “OK” button (center button on the remote) to confirm. A blue screen will appear.
Take the Nintendo Switch controller (you can disconnect the charging cable if it’s still connected).
- Press the “Home” button (the one with a house icon). The console will power on, and its menu will display on the screen.
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
- Select your preferred game from the pre-installed library (adding new games is not allowed).
- Use the “guest” account to play.
Multiplayer Mode
- For two players, select the multiplayer mode within your chosen game.
- Detach the Joy-Con controllers from the console (sliding upward) .
- Follow on-screen instructions:
  - You can hold the Joy-Cons in your hands and use their motion sensors (make sure to grip them securely!).
  - If the game requires, attach each Joy-Con to its individual grip (provided nearby) for a more traditional controller setup.
Power Off the Console
- When you’re done playing, press the “Home” button on the right Joy-Con (with the house icon).
- From the menu, select the “Power Off” option in the bottom right corner and confirm.
Charge the Controllers
- To recharge the Joy-Cons, attach them to the ergonomic double grip (sliding downward).
- Connect the USB cable to the small port at the bottom of the grip.
- Ensure the grip’s little switch is set to “On.”

To switch back to Cinema Mode (Apple TV):

Grab the Sony remote and press the “Home” button.
The navigation menu will appear.
Use the “Up” and “Down” buttons to highlight “HDMI 1” and press “OK” to confirm (central button).
If the Apple TV is off, a blue screen will appear. Simply turn it on to enjoy your shows.

—— Be careful not to use too much electricity at the same time!

⚠️ IMPORTANT
Using three or more large appliances at the same time could cause a temporary power outage due to overload — for example, running the dishwasher, air conditioner, hairdryer, and oven all at once.

Please be mindful and use electricity responsibly. 🙏 Thank you!

The power supply here is stronger than in a typical home, but if you overload it, the electricity will still shut off.

In the unlikely and rare event that the power does go out, you’ll find the circuit breaker box outside, next to the gate.
Just flip the switch to turn the power back on.

Important: Make sure to turn something off first before switching the power back on!

If you need to clean something, you can find cleaning tools inside the cabinet you on the second floor next to the 2 bedrooms – It’s beyond the black curtain.

Keeping it clean isn’t mandatory, but it’s appreciated 😁
